Skyway Library is a local neighborhood gem. Located in the Bryn Mawr-Skyway area east of Renton Municipal Airport, Skyway Library offers free events and programs for all ages. Whether you’re looking for activities for toddlers and preschoolers, or hoping to find community resources for ages 18 and up, Skyway Library is your one-stop-shop for free things to do.
Skyway Library is open 6 days a week. There’s always something new on the event calendar, so be sure to check for special events. 1. Kaleidoscope Play & Learn
This weekly program is for little ones ages newborn to 5. Join the fun on Thursday mornings. Have fun singing songs, sharing books, creating art and playing together. Trained facilitators from ChildHaven host this structured group for families and their children to learn life skills through play.
2. Animals Got Talent Puppet Show
Tuesday, July 2: You are sure to sing, dance and belly laugh as each act tells you about their characteristics through silly antics and talents. Help pick your favorite acts in Animals Got Talent! Presented by Penny Walter of Penny's Puppet Productions. All ages welcome with adult.
3. Family Story Time
Skyway Library is the place to be on Monday mornings for babies, toddler and preschoolers. Drop by for family story time each week. Enjoy stories, music, movement and rhymes that develop your child's early literacy skills. Stay for up to 30 minutes of play and social time afterward.
4. AweSUMM Math Space
Come for math puzzles, games and other hands-on activities with Seattle Universal Math Museum and MathHappens. They will have hands-on activities for small children, plus fun activities for elementary, middle and high school ages. This is a monthly drop-in after-school program on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
5. Tech Help
Have computer or software questions? A tech savvy volunteer can provide one-on-one help for Windows, Mac, Android and iOS. Drop by this weekly after school event on Tuesdays. Bring your smart phone, iPad or laptop and your questions. Note: The tech tutor cannot provide hardware assistance.

6. King County Department of Local Services Office Hours
Need support with county services? Department of Local Services staff are at the library once a week to offer free notary service, support with county building permits, pet license applications and general information about county services. Drop by to get help on Wednesday afternoons.
Monday, August 5: Whether visiting other planets, viewing meteor showers or fixing alien spaceships, this interactive music and storytelling program teaches the differences between stars, moons, the planets of our solar system and more. Ages 4 and older
8. Skyway Library Book Group
Join your neighbors for a lively book discussion. New members always welcome! The book group is geared toward adults ages 18 and up. It meets monthly, usually on the third Thursday afternoon of the month. Check the Skyway Library website for this month’s book and schedule.
9. Hora de Cuentos Familiar en Español / Online Spanish Story Time
Disfruten de cuentos interactivos, canciones y actividades para niños. Programa familiar, todas las edades son bienvenidas en compañía de un adulto. Por favor regístrese. 10. Online Math Club: Math Games Grades K-1 (Study Zone)
This is a weekly online event. Math Club volunteers host games and activities to help students exercise their math skills. Classes are by suggested grade level, but students may attend lessons on any class they choose. Students should log in a few minutes before class begins.
