Farmers Markets in Renton, Tukwila, Bellevue, Seattle and Beyond

UPDATED: Kids will love exploring these farmers markets!

The warm summer weather is here and that means only one thing: Farmers Markets! Kids love exploring the booths, discovering new veggies and even trying new foods. We're spoilt for choice when it comes to Seattle farmers markets. So, we've rounded up all the markets in Renton, Tukwila, Bellevue, Des Moines, Mercer Island, Burien and South Seattle that are a short drive or bus ride away.

Farmers markets in Renton

Renton Farmers Market

When: Tuesdays from 3 to 7 pm; June through September
Where: South 3rd and Logan Ave South - across the street from Piazza Renton in Downtown Renton
Parking: Free ten-hour parking is available at the City Center Garage, 655 S 2nd St. - enter off South 2nd Street between Burnett and Logan, watch for signs. The Market is also adjacent to the Renton Transit Center for easy access from public transportation.

Each week you can expect to see live entertainment, cooking demonstrations or appearances by Renton restaurants, the popular Kid's Patch, Kid's Passport Program, and Master Gardeners, plus a range of farm-fresh produce, plus artisans and crafters. There are also plenty of food stalls where you'll find hot cooked food, ready to eat at the market or take home for dinner.

Fairwood Market Night

When: Wednesdays from 4 to 8 pm; May through October
Where: Northwood Middle School, 17007 SE 184th St., Renton

Fairwood Market Night is back for 2024! AMAZING vendors, YUMMY food trucks, LOCAL entertainment, KIDS area and more.

They are also building up the nonprofit program this year - bringing local community groups to the market to tell you about the phenomenal work they are doing in our area.

Farmers Markets in Bellevue

Bellevue Farmers Market

When: Thursdays from 3 to 7 pm (May 23-September 26); Thursdays 3 to 6 pm, October 3-24
Where: 1717 Bellevue Way NE, Bellevue, WA 98004; Bus routes: 249/246 bus stop one block away.

Each market day has its own unique mix of vendors offering seasonal fruits & vegetables, cut flowers, fresh meats, one-of-a-kind artisan goods, and tasty cuisine. All  vendors grow and make the products they sell, and everything sold at the market comes from within the great state of Washington. The market regularly features fun activities for kids, live music, and community programs. 

Crossroads Farmers Market

When: Tuesdays from 12 to 6 pm from June 4 to September 24
Where: Crossroads Mall east parking lot, 15600 NE 8th St., Bellevue

Enjoy fresh Washington produce, flowers, food, and fun! Live music fills the air and local nonprofit community organizations are featured each market day.

Farmers Markets on Mercer Island

Mercer Island Farmers Market

When: Every Sunday from 10 am to 2 pm from June 2 to September 29. The Fall Harvest Market is November 24 and is an amazing way to enjoy the last of the summer's produce.
Where: Mercerdale Park, 7700 SE 32nd Street, Mercer Island

Live music is an integral part of the Mercer Island Farmers Market. They have a full schedule of musicians starting on opening day June 2nd. Market performers range from solo artists to full bands, presenting folk, rock, swing, bluegrass, gypsy jazz, blues, and more. This year's stage will feature returning favorites as well as wonderful new artists.

Farmers Markets in Burien

Burien Farmers Market

When: Year-round, every Thursday from 10 am to 6 pm for the summer market (May-October) and during the winter market from 10 am to 4pm (November-April)
Where: Burien Town Square Park, 480 SW 152nd St

Vendors rotate often and seasonally, no week is every the same: fruits, vegetables and seasonal produce, jams, honey, preserves, kombucha, baked goods, fresh flowers, cheese, bath and body products, house plants and potted plants, gems & stones, gifts, wine, meat, snacks and art (jewelry, glass works, yard art, cloth and textile crafts, face).

  • Most vendors accept and prefer cash but can also process credit and debit cards. You can purchase market tokens with your card at the information booth to use for purchase at all booths. They can also process your Community Gift e-Card  - Buy Here
  • EBT is accepted! Inquire at the main tent to see how you can receive up to $25 with the SNAP Market Match program

Farmers Markets in Maple Valley

Maple Valley Farmers Market

When: Saturdays from 9 am to 2 pm, May through October
Where:  Maple Valley Legacy Site, 25719 Maple Valley Black Diamond Road SE

Farm-fresh produce, hot cooked food, cheese, wine, crafts, ice cream, baked goods, treats, food trucks, and just about everything under the sun... that's what you'll find at the Maple Valley Farmers Market. Farmers Markets in Des Moines

Des Moines Waterfront Farmers Market

When: Saturdays from 10 am to 2 pm, June through September
Where: Des Moines Marina, 22307 Dock Ave S, Des Moines

Des Moines Waterfront Farmers Market brings farmers, artisans, and the local community together around a bountiful variety of vegetables, fruit, honey, cheeses, crafts, flowers, meat and fish, ready to eat foods, education, information and entertainment. There are activities for kids and several programs to help everyone access food (SNAP, etc.)

Farmers Markets in South Seattle

Columbia City Farmers Market

When: Wednesdays from 3 to 7 pm (May 1 to October 9); From November through April, the market is open on the second Saturday in the month from 10 am to 2 pm
Where: 37th Ave S & S Edmunds St, just off Rainier Ave S in South Seattle

The Columbia City Farmers Market (CCFM) is in the center of one of the most diverse zip-codes in the country, with offerings as varied as its regulars - find fresh-picked Asian greens along with delicious Ethiopian fare. The CCFM’s proximity to the Columbia City light rail station makes it a convenient stop for Wednesday evening commuters, and its scenic footprint cascades into Columbia Park - the perfect spot for dinner-time picnics with friends and family. This bustling scene is also a hub for food access, as it is near many clinics offering these important programs. 

Farmers Markets in Tukwila

Tukwila Village Farmers Market

The Market is back for 2024! Opening day is Wednesday, June 26. This is a wonderful place to connect with community resources for your family.

When: Wednesdays from 3 to 6 pm, June through October
Where: Sullivan Center at Tukwila Village Plaza (14350 Tukwila International Blvd, Tukwila)

Buy fresh produce grown by refugees and immigrants in our community! They accept SNAP/EBT; shop with your EBT card to double your funds for produce with SNAP Market Match.


Before you visit a farmers market

Here's a checklist to make your visit a great one:

  • Check if dogs are allowed, leash requirements, etc.
  • Bring your reusable shopping bags
  • Consider paying with cash; some vendors can only take cash
  • Bring your sunscreen and hats (or raincoats, depending on the season)
  • Wear comfortable shoes
  • Bring your appetite!
