Newcastle Days 2024 promises fun for the whole family. The free event is on Saturday, September 7, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Lake Boren Park. Read on for all the details.
This annual community festival is packed with activities, food, games, music, and fun for all ages. This signature Newcastle event falls in September because that's the month in 1994 when Newcastle officially became a city.
Newcastle Days is full of activities for all ages. Kids and families will enjoy carnival games and giant inflatables, a petting zoo and pony rides, robotics demonstrations and an interactive junk chime, arts and crafts with the Newcastle Arts Council and Newcastle Library, and hands-on history with the Newcastle Historical Society.

10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Cars on the Green auto show: Come early for the Cars on the Green auto show at Newcastle Days. From 10:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., check out oldies and goodies, classics and moderns, and everything in between.
10:30 a.m. Parade and Opening Ceremonies: Nothing kicks off a festival better than a community parade around the park! Enjoy the sights and sounds of local high school bands, cheer squads, and dance/drill teams. Cheer on community groups and our local Scouts.
11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Live Entertainment on Stage, Community Booths, Carnival Games, Giant Inflatables, and more: One of the unique aspects of Newcastle Days is the main stage entertainment. The schedule is jam-packed with performances. Be thrilled by the exciting moves of local high school dance/drill teams. Enjoy the awesome beats of Japanese drums. Cheer on student rock bands, and more!
11:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Food Vendors, Craft Beer & Wine Garden: You can anticipate food trucks and much more!
5:30 - 7:00 p.m. The Fabulous Murphtones: Enjoy the last sounds of summer with live music.

Newcastle Days 2024 Directions and Parking
Directions to Lake Boren Park: 13058 SE 84th Way, Newcastle
Take Exit 9 off I405 and follow Coal Creek Parkway south into Newcastle. Pass the lake on your right and take a right at the traffic light at SE 84th Way.
Main Parking Lot: ADA parking only; drop-off area available
Waterline Parking: Follow signs to the public parking area adjacent to the park on the right.
Plan Ahead! Parking gets filled quickly at midday. Consider carpooling or alternative options, such as parking downtown and walking, or taking the #240 bus.
