The purpose of Fiesta del Maíz is to honor and celebrate the importance of maíz (corn) in Mesoamerican Indigenous cultures. Through food, art, and performance, the Fiesta del Maíz will invite attendees to explore and learn about how maízhas played a central role across many different cultures. FREE

a cultural dance tradition that originated in ancient Mesoamerica and is practiced throughout Mexico. It is a contemporary dance that is said to have descended from the “Danzas de Conquista,” or “conquest dances,” of the early Spanish colonial era.
