The holidays are supposed to be a joyful time, but for many families in our neighborhoods, they can be challenging. That's where you come in—Gifts of Hope is making it easy for all of us to lend a hand.

Their 8th annual Hope for Christmas program lets you directly adopt a family. These are our neighbors who could use some extra support, small gestures that can mean the world.

  • You can sponsor an entire family or one child.
  • Gifts of Hope will provide you with a customized wish list.
  • You can hand-select meaningful gifts to deliver before Christmas.
  • You shop and deliver the gifts, and Gifts of Hope handles the rest. It's an easy way to make the holidays brighter for someone nearby.

Gifts of Hope is a local nonprofit founded in 2017 by Samona J. Burleson, who was motivated to create concrete ways for the community to help their neighbors after witnessing the homelessness crisis in Seattle. The organization initially aimed to support 50 individuals that first Christmas, but the response was overwhelming: over 500 people were "adopted."

The holidays are supposed to be about coming together, and this is your chance to do just that. Sign up by December 1st to adopt a family or volunteer at their big holiday event on the 15th. Either way, you'll make a real difference in the lives of local families.
